In English teaching learning process, there are many factors that influence the outcome, one of which is the learner's factor. Creativity is a learner psychological aspect that has an important role. This research sought to identify the correlation between the learners’ creativity level and their Englih learning outcome. This quantitative research involved a research population of the learners from engineering study program during the 2022/2023 academic year. There were 47 students in the study program, thus the total sampling technique was used. The instrument for assessing learners' creativity level and their English scores were used to obtain the required data. The data were then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment formula. The results of inferential statistical analysis using SPSS version 26 software obtained a correlation coefficient of (r = 0.96, p <0.001). This indicates that between the two variables being discussed (creativity level and English learning outcome) have a positive and significant correlation. The implications of the results from this research are discussed in detail in this article.
Deri Herdawan Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Maritim Polimarin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/96 Thu, 20 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Aktivitas Port Clearance Pengurusan Dokumen PT. The purpose of this study is to determine activities related to the clearance of document management by PT. Pelayaran Sumatra Timur Indonesia. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. In the research method, there are two types of data in this study, namely primary data and secondary data. There are 3 methods of obtaining the data needed during the research time including observation methods, interview methods and documentation methods. The results showed that the clearance activity of PT. East Sumatra Indonesia shipping there are several procedures for handling documents on ships, namely, checking shipping orders, checking cargo manifests or loading lists and checking cargo shipping lists or boot notes and other important ship requirements. The document clearance procedure is divided into two, namely clearance in and clearance out. The clearance procedure is the process of obtaining permits for ships that will arrive at the port to related agencies. Clearance out the procedure on PT. East Sumatra Indonesia shipping includes after the ship has finished carrying out activities at the port and will again sail out of the port area, the agent re-requests the ship's departure or clearance.
Handoyo Widyanto, Ningrum Astriawati, Suyanti Suyanti, Fikri Fikri Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Maritim Polimarin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/95 Thu, 20 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Ekonomi Pengoperasian Ketel Uap Bantu Laboratorium Permesinan Kapal Polimarin Dengan Variasi Bahan Bakar https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/97
Heat energy and steam pressure are very important properties in various life applications. The steam production process in a boiler can occur in a container or in a pipe. Fuel as a source of chemical energy for steam boilers can use solid, liquid or gas types. The use of solid fuel is relatively easier to use, by simply putting it into the fire kitchen. Use of gas as boiler fuel can use a gas burner as in a gas stove. The type of fuel oil used as boiler fuel is diesel oil. Diesel oil in order to be used as boiler fuel requires a burner as a fogger combined with compressed air. This study was conducted for the purpose of studying the performance of the boiler when operated from cold conditions to the maximum achievable pressure. Specifically, to determine the specific fuel consumption and the amount of fuel cost required. The experimental method was chosen for the study. Steam pressure and the amount of fuel required during combustion and steam production were the two parameters measured. There are 3 types of diesel oil grades that will be analysed in this study. Fuel type and quality affect the time required to reach maximum pressure. Bio diesel takes the longest time, dexlite takes a shorter time, and pertamina dex takes the shortest time. Total difference in fuel consumption for one operation of bio diesel oil, dexlite, and pertamina dex is 4.68, 4.38, and 4.19 litres respectively. Overheating the engine can cause damage. To prevent excessive heat in a diesel engine, cooling is needed, the component that acts as a coolant is a fresh water cooler. normal temperature condition of fresh water cooler is 65ᵒC. The purpose of this study was to find out how maintenance actions are carried out on the fresh water cooler of the main driving diesel engine cooling system if overheating occurs. The research method used in this research is descriptive research, namely research that aims to describe and describe the object under study. Observation of temperature on the control panel of the main engine from the observation of temperature control there was an increase in temperature of 85ᵒC and an alarm sounded so that a fresh water cooler was checked and repaired. This is thought to be caused by the presence of dirt and corrosion in the cooling holes. And at that time, the pressure of the sea water cooling pump decreased from 3.0 kg/cm2 to 2.0 kg/cm2. The research results obtained a blockage in the sea water filter section so it needs to be cleaned and checked so that the incident does not happen again. The conclusion of this research is that the fresh water cooler maintenance on the ship has been going well, carried out according to the machine instructions work instructions, according to schedule. The results of the maintenance are that the engine temperature returns as expected.
Rahim Subliansyah Putra, Arif Rakhman Suharso, Yulius Oscar Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Maritim Polimarin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/98 Thu, 20 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Strategi Perguruan Tinggi Kemaritiman Menciptakan Wirausaha Muda Melalui Pendidikan Kewirausahaan https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/100
Entrepreneurship is a pillar of the state in creating jobs and improving the community's economy. Colleges are obliged to provide knowledge that is useful in life, including knowledge in entrepreneurship. The purpose of providing entrepreneurship education is to motivate students to become entrepreneurs. The results of previous research indicated that there was an influence of entrepreneurship education in students' perceptions, interests and competencies to become entrepreneurs. But in reality, entrepreneurship education does not directly make the graduates dare to open a business. The aim of this study is to analyze the strategy of maritime colleges through entrepreneurship education in growing young entrepreneurs. The research method used is qualitative. Data was collected by interviews and observation. Based on the results, it can be concluded that maritime colleges have included entrepreneurship education in their teaching curriculum with 2 credits. This is a good strategy to provide students with the knowledge to become entrepreneurs. However, the courses is still taught in classical and theoretical learning. Meanwhile, entrepreneurial practices are still limited to making business plan. So there is a need for a follow-up program to be able to realize entrepreneurial graduates, like entrepreneurship center on campus, developing student entrepreneurship, increasing independent entrepreneurship, and providing student venture capital.
Ari Ani Dyah Setyoningrum Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Maritim Polimarin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/100 Thu, 20 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Manajemen Pemuatan Barang Berbahaya untuk Keselamatan Kapal Muatan dan ABK https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/101
This study aims to know and understand the labels of aged cargo labels, understand the handling of hazardous cargo on board, and understand the principles of loading principles in relation to the protection of ships, mautan and crew and also know about handling fires caused by hazardous cargo on board and handling patterns in the event of a fire caused by hazardous cargo. The impact arises due to the crew not understanding the labels of dangerous mautan, as well as the arrangement or placement of cargo in containers that do not pay attention to the segregation table that has been regulated in the IMDG Code. Causing cargo to be contaminated, causing fires, container leaks. Meanwhile, if in the loading process does not correctly understand the loading principles that exist, especially in the loading of dangerous goods. It needs special handling that will endanger the ship, cargo, even the crew of the ship itself. The role and understanding of the dangerous cargo of the crew, especially the skipper and the first crew responsible for the loading of the sangant, is important. Both during loading preparation by making a loading plan, during loading, and during unloading. Literature and documentation studies, as well as descriptive data in the form of writings from several sources. The results of the discussion can be concluded even maximum loading management such as the preparation of loading plans, loading that pays attention to the segregation table by referring to the nature of dangerous goods in accordance with the good IMDG Code when loading loads in large quantities in the container carried out by the crew will be achieved shipping safety, ship safety, cargo and also the crew itself. The pattern of handling emergencies when the ship contains good dangerous cargo, by referring to the IMDG Code and Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) will be able to minimize property losses, namely ship damage, cargo damage, and even life losses can be minimized. Shipping safety is the main objective that we want to achieve in every freight shipping operation including dangerous goods cargo.
B. L Hentri Widodo, Eni Tri Wahyuni, M. To get the desired target, KSO Koja Container Terminal immediately took quick steps by upgrading and adding several tools to support performance so that it could be more optimal in carrying out loading and unloading activities such as upgrading several CCs from Post Panamax grade to Super Post Panamax. Along with the many containers that are unloaded or loaded at TPK KOJA, and the market that competes between container terminals with each other. The management of Koja must increase the target size of unloading and loading containers by quay container crane (QCC) or what we often call Box Crane per Hours (BCH), but on the other hand with the demands of TPK KOJA management that unloading and loading 1 million containers, many tools in the field and at the dock are forced to work hours with maintenance that has not been scheduled properly resulting in congestion of loading and unloading equipment. The type of research used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis, qualitative descriptive research is aimed at describing and describing existing phenomena, both natural and human engineering, which pay more attention to the characteristics, quality, relationships between activities. In addition, descriptive research does not provide treatment, manipulation or alteration of the variables studied, but describes a condition as it is. So the results of the Quay container crane performance research at TPK Koja from the author's observation, in the process of container loading and unloading activities at TPK Koja still found inhibiting factors. The effect of the Dual Cycle Operation system in loading and unloading at TPK KOJA cannot be determined the box crane unit per hour produced, because in this case the management of TPK KOJA is still in the trial stage of the system.
Ridwan, Aji Luhur, Muhammad Elnath G Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Maritim Polimarin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.polimarin.ac.id/index.php/jmp/article/view/102 Mon, 31 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000
